Last night I took my daughter outside for a walk around the playground. She wasn’t too interested in going on the slides, and didn’t seem as excited as usual to go on the swings with her daddy. There was even a puppy on the playground, but she didn’t care if she got to pet it or not. She seemed to be kind of bored with the same old playground equipment.
I walked her up to the pool to let her watch everyone playing, and i literally had to pry her little hands off the bars to take her home so i could get her dressed to go swimming.
on the walk back home, she found the puppy again, and it started chasing her. That was fun for a sec, but she still seemed a little bored. So I went on ahead and brought her home and told her momma we’re goin swimming. Origionally her mom didn’t want to go with us, but i wanted her to come along and snap some pix for me, so it took a few minutes for her to get ready. By the time we got to the pool, we had 10 minutes to swim. The water was nice, not too cold. Emma was clinging to me like a scared kitten, and then i started moving her around the pool. At one point I was walking around holding Emma out in front of me, and a person popped up from under the water right in front of us to avoid running into my legs. Emma got a good laugh out of that. We were having a hard time getting photos of Emma in the water because she likes to turn her head when the light goes on.
Right after these pix were taken it was time to get out of the pool because they were closing it down for the night. Emma was NOT happy about that. She cried until we put her in the stroller, and when we got home she kept going back to the door, trying to open it, and she would not rest until we took her back outside. We were only able to go for a walk around the complex, which was good enough for her, but swimming was a big hit and i’m sure we are going back today- Emma has to swim in her new Bikini that she got from Auntie Mel-Mel.
